Topic: Great Lessons Of Life
There are so many misconstrued theories about disability. Those deemed permanently disabled by the federal government.
There is nothing worse than people in the general public, who fail to understand, not only the lengthy process before being deemed permanently disabled. But as well, important facts about various types of disability.
There are different types of disability granted by the federal government.
What most people in the general public fail to understand is, what qualifies someone to be deemed permanently disabled by the federal government. To be deemed permanently disabled, your medical condition and prognosis must ultimately end in death. Meaning, the end result of an individuals health, medical condition(s) will result in death. There really is no other way to put it... blunt.
What people in the general public also don't understand about permanent disability, is that the federal government encourages those permanently disabled to live to the best of one's ability. That also includes encouraging those disabled to try to work around medical limitations. Yes, you can still work. Many others as well do not understand that just because someone is deemed disabled. It doesn't mean they can't do their best to obtain a college degree with many federal programs, grants available to help.
Some deemed permanently disabled, may never have that opportunity to work again. There are those who may never be able to realize that dream of a college degree. While sadly, others deemed permanently disabled never live long enough to continue the good fight.
Each patient is so uniquely different, so is each disability case handled by the federal government.
The worst thing to do to someone is to unfairly judge before knowing the facts. That also includes those who are permanently disabled.
As so my journey goes...
"Never judge a book by its cover."
