Set The Bar HIGH! Be The Example! Be...HAPPY :)
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Day 2747-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

Change is inevitable

Today I have taken another monumental step in the process of change. Becoming a better me! Perfect? No one is perfect. We all have our own set of imperfect flaws. Far from perfect decisions. What we don't need is to live in the past. A past filled with right, wrong, good and sometimes even bad choices.

With change comes personal growth. Learning lessons from the past and applying them to the here and now. Towards the future. Who doesn't absolutely LOVE a great ending?! The ability to self-reflect by continuing to choose the road to happiness.

I have an amazing therapist whom has also directed me to her friend who is a life coach. The reason? Why of course...To become the BEST possible version of myself that I can be! A far better me than days prior, months prior, years prior, decades prior. The lessons haven't been easy ones. The road before me is placed with what I am sure will be, many difficult hurdles, challenges and temptations. What I am setting is a very high bar. Not just for myself. But for others. I strive to not just set an example. But to be the example. No matter what has transpired or has happened in your past. As my life coach put it best today...

"Let it be."

There are many reasons why I made the decision for a legal name change. The most important one is because I choose to be happy. A choice to be who I want to be and rid of anything that is in my past that didn't serve me well. Things happen. Life happened. I now have the reigns to choose 'wisely.' A fresh start on a clean slate. A new and far better version of ME. It's been hard to make that last and final change. But with the help of others. I have finally realized that no one can create your happiness. The only person to do so is...You, Yourself and I. We all have the ability to be happy. We all have the ability to allow ourselves to be miserable. I now choose very wisely. ~Happy

A huge project still in the making. Repairing and repainting our entire home has not only brought with it many rewarding moments. But most importantly, it has allowed for me to be in the moment of self-reflection. Being at peace with the past. What is and what will be. Welcoming the future on my terms. It's called being undeniably, absolutely, unmistakable, HAPPY! There are times when we all will have our weak moments. But during those times it is when we find our best moments. The power of strength. Being and staying STRONG, determined and FOCUSED like never before!

There are no pity parties on this journey of life. We all create our own happiness and are 110% entitled to it! We all have our flaws. We all have our weaknesses. But one thing we all have is...God.

Today I make another monumental step in the right direction. A chance to change for the better. No one is perfect. Yet we all can strive to be a far better version of ourselves today, tomorrow, next week, next month and next year. A far better and much happier version of ourselves. If sometimes that means making decisions that might not appeal to others. Just remember...Your happiness is determined by one person and one person only.

YOU

Unconditional Love~
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Day 2746-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

This view...  It never gets old.

I love the peaceful feeling that comes with living in the country.

Being able to wake up and watch the sun rise on the river...Breathtakingly beautiful! It was an early morning for us. It's been a long week with doctors as well being back and forth at the hospital. Our days have seemed to just mesh together as one.

One thing I can say as of this morning...It's been over a month now since our beloved Littleblue had to be assisted in order to be with her siblings. Back home, in heaven. There isn't a day that goes by that we don't miss her with all of our heart. There remains a void within our home. I tend to believe that holds true for anyone who has lost a member of their family. A fur child with such unconditional love. A love that has no boundaries. Myself and Eric have discussed the possibilities of welcoming another fur child into our little family. But we have decided to not plan ahead. But to allow God to make the decision for us. We believe that if and when it is meant to be. It will be for special reasons.

In the meantime...What is there not to love about all of the wildlife right here in our own backyard. So many animals, both big and small. Even more babies that we now welcome as part of our daily lives. There are not enough words to describe the most absolute CUTENESS of watching this baby deer look at her mama before slowly going over to play and eat with four super CUTE baby raccoons. Amazing enough, mama raccoon watched via from a tree close by as the baby deer inched her way and then began eating next to the baby raccoons.

LOVE~LOVE~LOVE

Myself and Eric could do nothing but watch in amazement. The interaction between all the mama's and their little ones is a memory that we both will cherish forever. What a blessing! To be part of God's creation. Animals both big and small. XOXOXO

Having the ability to reach out to so many with this blog. Comes with it amazing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to connect with some outstanding organizations from all around the world. I'm happy to be able to connect with the Humane Society and share their Ultimate Guide To Pet Adoption.

Having such a huge heart and passion for all animals. It is my pleasure to be able to work with the Humane Society. If you are looking to welcome a new member to your family. Please don't hesitate to contact your local Humane Society and local animal shelters.

After interviewing 200 rescues and shelters. We have created the best possible content, precisely because it was written based on the experience of over 200 professionals in this field.

With the best possible content comes the best possible help for these animals that so desperately need the RIGHT person to take them home.

We created not only 1 or 2 blog posts about it, but a series of 12 articles. In these, we talk about the benefits of adopting an animal, the myths, that are all too often associated with adoption. What one should consider what one should consider before adopting and during adoption process. As well tips for taking care of the new chosen pet, new member of their  family.

Just Blame It On The Full Moon!?.
Mood:  special
Now Playing: Day 2745-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

There are some days...Like today. When there has to be some sort of reason for such an oddly, yet very interesting kind of day.

I know...Let's just blame it on the full moon! HA!

We continue to find some of the most odd ways that one can rig their home when it comes to repairs. All sorts of crazy ways as well as self-installation projects. Like this tennis ball that I ironically found taped to the wall with of all things. Painters tape. I stumbled across the tennis ball, behind a mirror, while accidentally dropping a spoon behind the microwave. Ummm...Hmmmm?... The only thing we can figure is that maybe the prior owners used it to keep the mirror from hitting the wall? Although that makes no sense because the mirror doesn't even come close to touching the wall?. Once Eric saw the tennis ball taped to the wall. Within 5 minutes the mirror was no longer. It never made any sense for what looks like a bathroom mirror being placed above a separate area of the kitchen. There used to be a wine refrigerator on the counter below it when we first moved into our home. The very first day after closing. But that is no longer either after giving it to a neighbor. We have far better things in mind for that extra counter space. And as far as the tennis ball? It went into the wash and is now happily part of Snoreo's tennis ball stash. Heeheeheeheehee!

If the day couldn't get any crazier. It did.

Eric has been keeping a few things to himself when it comes to chattering voices that he has been hearing through out the house. There are days when he will be yelling from the basement, "What did you say?" There have also been a few occasions where we will literally be in the kitchen and hear voices coming from the basement. I have encountered my own not-so-comfortable moments in the basement where it literally feels as if someone is looking over my shoulder while folding wash. Other times the energy through out the house will be so thick. That every single hair will literally stand up on my body. This evening things got a bit crazy. I guess we can blame part of it on the full moon?. We didn't even know that this evening there would be a full moon. But if you are a skeptic. Then don't bother with the next part of this blog. I can only hope that one day, you too will be pleasantly surprised with a special gift to connect of your own. Our gutters, roof, french drain and sump-pump system have been going through major repairs due to water issues that began on day 1 of purchasing our home. This was back in October 2016. I always felt that this house was seriously neglected. In more ways than one. I also firmly believed that in time...The foundation settling would stop, but only after we put a whole lot of hard work and lots of $$$ into the home. There are times when the house will literally speak to us.

Like this evening.

While in the basement, unplugging the old sump-pump system, so the plumbers can have free reign of the basement this week. We began walking down the stairs to hear little feet scrambling below us. To us, it certainly sounded like Mittens kitty. But she was upstairs. So we just blew it off as Eric began unplugging and unhooking the sump-pump system. It was quiet in the basement. So being able to actually hear the same voices whispering at the opposite end of the basement took us both by surprise. It felt as if someone or multiple people were watching us. You know...That uneasy feeling that makes your heart start pumping a bit harder. It also makes going back up the steps a bit faster if you know what I mean! Hahahaha! Eric looked at me, yet we didn't really say a word to each other. Honestly, I have seen a lot through out my lifetime. Eric has also seen more than his fair share while attending overnight stays, ITC research at various historic locations. In and out of state over the past several years. Between the whispers, two plug outlets that kept overloading and a strange feeling of something or someone around us. I decided to grab a few pieces of equipment. Maybe someone has something to say to us? A message to relay?

These are two images that were caught on our equipment. They have not been altered. You can not rig these types of images and they do not just happen via command. Blame it on the full moon?. Or blame it on those whom are intrigued with the home and possibly just want to connect. I firmly believe that if you have a closed mind. Spiritually. You will never have the ability, opportunity or possible gift in your lifetime to connect with those whom have passed onto Heaven. Yet still find a way to stay here with us, even possibly visit, in a spiritual sense. While Eric was standing behind me. I could hear him gasp after asking the individual to let us know if anyone else was present with them. This is the second and only other image that we received on our equipment. Three other figures appeared with the individual. Two within only a arms reach from the camera. One word:  FASCINATING!

If that wasn't enough to make a firm believer out of those whom believe that the full moon brings with it. The unexplained. While taking Snoreo outside, I decided to tag along after a long day at the hospital and getting lots of rest over the past few days. Eric said, "Come on outside with your cell phone. The full moon is huge!" So I did and this is what we saw quickly blazing across the open sky. It wasn't a plane. It also wasn't any type of satellite that could easily go that fast across the sky. I was honestly surprised that my cell phone was able to zoom in close enough to catch a glimpse of this round, glowing, quickly moving object. As far as skeptics. When it comes to UFO's. I have to admit that I 'used' to not believe in such a thing. Maybe that is because I had yet to experience. But everyone, one day, will maybe be blessed enough to experience a once-in-a-lifetime moment that will forever change your mind. For us...It was this evening of pure magical energy and the unexplainable. For someone who believes in the afterlife and spiritual sense of discovery. The ability for loved ones to connect with us, someway, somehow after death. How could I had been so closed minded when it comes to UFO's?. To not believe that some other form of life also exists among the stars...

Blame it on the full moon? Nah. Some people just have a special gift.

Random Blog For a R-A-N-D-O-M Kind Of Day! ;)
Mood:  chillin'
Now Playing: Day 2744-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

Heads Up!

To those whom requested a different color font in order to share yesterday's blog. Your request has been met! I had no idea how hard it was to read due to the color being so bright on the blog background. Most definitely will keep this blog reader-color friendly! Thank you once again for the heads-up!

The heat has finally arrived here in the country! Sure, we still have a breeze coming off of the river. But with that breeze Eric has found out first hand just how bad the chiggers can be during the hot, humid summer months. When you live near the river, creeks and a lot of wooded land. One is bound to end up dealing with those darn chiggers! Eric freaked out when I told him what exactly all of the small red bites were all over his body. It's possible to get chigger bites anywhere, especially out here in the country. Cutting the grass, running and playing with Snoreo at our local dog parks, walking along the river trails. The easiest solution in hopes of getting rid of the chigger bite redness, burn and itch? There are actually a few things...A hot shower, alcohol swabs and polish remover. I personally wouldn't recommend the polish remover. But the alcohol swabs work like a charm if you aren't near a shower to quickly jump into! Eric...Well let's just say that here on out you will find him wearing long pants and a much longer sleeved shirt. Heeheeheeheehee!

Speaking of hot, humid weather here in the country~

This is another great product that most definitely deserves a positive blog plug!

Neuro Daily  Health Beverage

It tastes like a mixture between 7up, Smartwater and just a zing of lemon-lime. This isn't a summer beverage to quickly chug when in a deep thirst. But the benefits are worth savoring! I really didn't taste the tangerine, however everyone's taste buds are different. GP friendly!

Well...Back to the country. Where everything...And I mean e-v-e-r-y-t-h-I-n-g is bigger! Like a...

"Never Judge A Book By It's Cover."
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: Day 2743-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

This is a great lesson for all of us!

There are so many times through out my lifetime that this lesson holds close and dear to my heart. I can remember one day assisting at a gym and overhearing parents poke fun at a special needs team that was practicing out on the mat. Behind thick glass for young ears that thankfully could not hear words that freely slipped off those parents lips. Those whom quickly judged. That was the last day that I ever volunteered at that gym.

A lesson to those who mock others that are indeed special in the eyes of God. To never judge a book by it's cover.

A 24-year old boy from the window of a train shouted...

"Dad look! The trees are going behind!" Dad smiled and a young couple sitting nearby, looked at the 24-year olds childish behavior with pity. Suddenly he again exclaimed... "Dad look the clouds are running with us!" The couple couldn't resist and said to the old man...

"Why don't you take your son to a good doctor?!"

The old man smiled and said, "I did and we are just coming from the hospital, my son was blind from birth, he just got his eyes today..."

Every single person on this planet has a story.

Don't judge people before you truly know them. The truth might surprise you...think before you say something.

Living In The Country :)
Mood:  special
Now Playing: Day 2742-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

Life in the country...  What is there not to love?.

We went from the hustle and bustle of the big city. To a little, lazy, river town way of life. The country. There are so many things that we love about living in the country. Peace and quiet is one of many.

What is not to love waking up seeing so many deer, among their little ones who pay us a visit through out the day. Most people go to Tennessee in hopes of watching the deer during the fall and winter season. Not where we live in Indiana. We always have deer to enjoy watching, feeding and even lately doing a few communication commands. Head nodding which means that deer are trying to figure out if you are a friend or a foe. A few stomps on the ground means that the alpha deer is letting the other deer know if they should stay or run. We have one particular female deer that we named, 'Dots.' She is a regular visitor at our home. At least 2-3 times a day you will find her enjoying some deer chow, bird seed, popcorn and never-ending water supply. Heeheeheehee!

It has been a first over the past few weeks with momma deer and her twin babies coming to visit us. There are not enough words to describe these cuties! I absolutely love all wildlife! Never did we imagine having so many outdoor animals, both big and small, to include as part of our every day life.

Why of course... Only in the country.

Here are a few other reasons why we instantly fell in love with life in the country. Our little, lazy, river town that we now call...Home.

Nursing homes are pretty much non-existent. There are no words to describe the smiles on our faces seeing so many families here in our little town enjoying the little things in life. Together, as family. Picnics by the river, biking the trails, grocery store shopping and even bringing the entire family along with their fur children to our local dog parks. Oil change also means time spending together, all together as family.

Cowboy hats, straw hats are no longer something to just enjoy at a country concert. In the country, they are normal attire and no one is quick to judge. Feeling free to just be...ME!

No more huge water bills. Not when you live in a small community here in the country. Living within your means does not equal excess.

Folks here are beyond handy when it comes to doing your own home and car repairs. Need help? Everyone knows someone that can get er' fixed on up!

Sunday is a day of rest. Not a day of work when family and God come together living in a little, lazy, river town. A place where we instantly felt that we belonged...

Signs Sharing Signs :)
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Day 2740-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

Talking about more signs!

Nothing is more astonishing then once again coming across more signs that are appearing all around us. It was one thing to have a landscaping decorative cat with a blue solar light magically start working again a month prior. It hadn't worked in over 3 years. But July 4th brought with it...Another sign.

I didn't have just one solar light cat landscaping decoration that wasn't working. I actually had two. Two that I bought after the passing of our beloved Bear and Pumpkin kitty over 3 years ago. Since placing them into our freshly landscaped front flower beds. I had always hoped for both of them to somehow, magically light up again! A sign to me that our loved ones are back home, safe in Heaven, yet somehow are still here with us on earth. Spiritually. The evening of July 4th. I got my second sign as myself and Eric got home that evening after taking Snoreo to our local dog park. What we found waiting for us was quite magical! It instantly brought a smile to both of our faces! We need not say a word. No words to those whom...BELIEVE. It didn't dawn on me until later in the evening as I looked at our wall calendar. July 4th was the day that Bear kitty was rescued from a home that had over 50 cats. A tiny black kitty with tons of fleas that sat patiently in my truck while being taken to his new home and washed away from all fleas. Over 18 years of such unconditional love that he had given me.

While getting my tools ready to continue finishing up the dining room remodeling project. I felt the need to get a few pieces of our ITC equipment out as I placed them on the kitchen counter. Nothing really happened as the energy was actually quite calm within the house. What happened later after cleaning up and finally resting on the couch. Another sign. An answer to a question possibly allowing me to share the magic that is still alive as ever with our loved ones. Those whom still visit us from Heaven.

As I asked one question and one question only before turning off both pieces of ITC equipment. The energy instantly became thick as molasses. "If there is a loved one with me right now. Can you tell me the name of who is sitting next to me on the couch?"

I am still well taken back by not only the accurate, but quick response! I may not have the ability to always connect on a daily basis. But the special gift that began as a young child is still strong as ever! Happy? You bet! Eric's facial expression was lost for words last week as I began explaining an elder woman whom insisted that potato salad is on the table at all holiday festivities. Has to be egg potato salad as someone else threw their hands up in the air shouting, "You all need to go back to bed!" Eric looked at me with tears in his eyes and said, "That is my Grandmother and my Aunt. We always had potato salad and us cousins would spent the night at our aunts when we were younger. Talking late into the evening and my Aunt would come into the rooms where we were all scattered. Throw her hands up in the air and say those exact words for all of us to go back to bed."

Here is another amazing story that I am sharing from Steve Huff who also has a special gift. The ability to connect.

Enjoy!

In my teen and into my 20’s and 30’s I was never one to believe in ghosts, spirits or anything paranormal. In fact, for most of my life I was a skeptic even though I always have been fascinated with the afterlife, what happens to us when we die, and how all of this (thing called life) started. I mean, think about it. We are all sitting on a big ball called earth that is floating out in space rotating. When you think about that, it sounds insanely crazy but we all accept it as it has been proven to be a fact. But on a big ball, floating in space, the human race with all of the intelligence and technology. If that is possible I said, then ANYTHING can be possible.

While I am not religious, I do believe in a God, a creator and over the past few years I have believed it more and more. These days, after experiencing all that I have I KNOW there is something out there and I know that we continue on in some way, possibly in a spiritual world where love is the #1 priority.

My Best Friend

My dog Scrubby came into my life when he was about 2. He was rescued from the dog pound and was a mess when we picked him up and chose him on that hot summer day. His hair was over his eyes, he was smelly and filthy and looked like a broken dog both physically and mentally. I had no idea what his background was but I do remember him being the sweetest dog ever though he seemed afraid of us at first. Like a scared child.

Scrubby was the most amazing dog I have ever owned in life, and throughout the 13 years I had him he was always faithful, always there for me, always by my side when I needed him. When I was going through a divorce after a 15 year marriage close to 5 years ago now Scrubby was plastered by my side always seeming to look up at me saying “cheer up Dad, I am still here”!

That dog brought me through some tough and stressful times. I felt his love and gave it right back.

Scrubby never had a mean bone in his body yet he would risk his life if it meant he would save mine. Dog’s are faithful like that and I have yet to meet a person…a human… who can match a dogs trust and faithfulness. They have hearts of gold and are innocent as a newborn baby. They do not know anger or think bad thoughts. They are as positive as they come. A dog becomes very much like one of your own children..a family member that sticks with you to the end. That is what makes it so hard when they have to leave you.

When Scrubby was around 15 or so he became frail and fragile. He had a very hard time walking and on his last days I laid with him on the floor slowly petting him. He gave me a look as if to say “Dad, I am ready”.

I took him to the vet and she agreed that it was his time. Usually Scrubby was afraid of the Vet but this time he just laid down on her metal table as if he knew what was coming. He looked peaceful and he looked like he was telling me “it is OK Dad, I will still visit you”. I will always be your best friend.

After some alone time with him to say my goodbyes the doctor came back in to explain how it would work. As I held his paw she gave him the medicine to put him to sleep. I broke down and cried of course and gave him one last hug as he was wrapped in a child’s blanket.

Scrubby was gone and I missed him. A couple of days went by and it was July 4th. Brandon and I had some smoke bombs and we thought we would try to see if we could do something that was pretty much impossible. Catch an image, a glimpse..one look at Scrubby to see if he was still around watching us. I have done spirit ITC photography before but because my emotions were so high I figured I would give it a shot with smoke.

We set up a cup and smoke bomb and lit the fuse. As it was blowing smoke I said “Scrubby, we still love you. If you are here or can come down and show yourself to let us know you are OK that would be amazing”. I then took three images with my digital camera.

When I looked at the photos, one of them stood out and I saw Scrubby plain as day. I started to cry.

This is the image with a pic of him next to the smoke for reference….
You can click that image for a larger view but to me it was unmistakable. I saw him one last time and he let me know that he is indeed OK. No more pain. ON command he appeared in that smoke for 1/60th of a second and just so happened to be right at the moment I asked and snapped the shutter.

Now I have shown this picture to many people and every one of them saw what I saw, even the full on skeptical ones. Of course the skeptics have various opinions from “you faked it” to “its a coincidence that the smoke lines up just right”..to other nonsense.

First of all, nothing was faked..at all. If you feel it was I suggest you do not come here anymore as your mind is so closed nothing could ever open it. Second, what are the odds that in one picture, after I asked him to appear that there would be a form that looks just like him? What are the odds? I think I would have a better chance of getting struck by lightning.

I have taken around 7 photos in the past three years that have a spirit presence in them, all on command after asking for them to appear. I do not do this very often, only when I feel the need, or a “push” to do it. It never ceases to amaze me but this one was the most emotional for me because it was right after Scrubby passed and right after I asked for him to appear.

It is amazing, it is special and it a mystery as to how this happens but one thing I think is true and that is even our pets come back to visit us from time to time.

Steve

The End?.
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: Day 2739-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

Where does this blog end?

I know...Where it began. But I am still evaluating in my mind to where it ends?.

I was going to end this blog yesterday. After some super exciting news. But I enjoy writing. Writing has been very therapeutic for me over the years. I also enjoy sharing parts of my journey along with stories from many others whom have contributed and still contribute to this very day. So many amazing stories! Thank YOU!

Myself and Eric have reached a point in our lives. A very important crossroads. There are aspects within our lives that we have now decided to keep private. Confidential. We also have decided to protect the rights of children, as well as our stepson. As adults. I think it is our responsibility to respect the privacy of those whom are not old enough to make the decision of being placed on any form of social media. This is our respectful decision. We have also come to the decision to keep other aspects of our lives, including resent news and medical information within a respectful circle. There are boundaries that must now be put into place if this blog is to continue from here on forward.

There is a beginning. There is an ending. To everything in life.

We have decided to no longer allow certain personal information that has been posted on this blog to continue being a contributing factor in social settings where we were used as mere gossip. I think it is safe to say, that we are starting a new phase in our lives. That phase includes personal growth. Living and learning from past mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes. NO one is perfect. Personal growth means looking back on your life. Deciding how prior actions can be a lesson learned and applying those to the future. If you have contacted us and we have not gotten back to you. Then you need to re-evaluate where you stand within the table of trust and growth within our lives. Personal growth means accepting that some relationships are no longer healthy and can no longer be. We have narrowed down what we will or will not be discussing on any form of social media. In which... There will be a lot here on forward that due to personal and privacy reasons. Will no longer be open for discussion freely on the world wide web.

This blog has taken thousands upon thousands of hours of my personal life...Personal time. It isn't easy writing. It's a process of the mind. It takes a lot of heart and a whole lotta soul!

I have zero regrets blogging about my journey.

We have so much on our plate right now. A lot of time to dedicate to our little family. Thank you for being a part of this journey. As our journey continues on to this next super exciting chapter
