If You Want To Lift Yourself Up, Lift Someone Else First.
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: Day 2764-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

Why...HELLO My Lovelies!

We have been continuing to stay crazy busy with our house-flip! But sometimes too much, can be a bit too much for me, physically.

Most recently, I have been dealt another unfortunate blow, medically. With each new challenge. I have learned that stepping back for some personal solitude time in order to evaluate the matter at hand is first and upmost important. Not jumping into things, head first, so-to-speak. Having an amazing therapist and new life coach has made all the difference in the world in how I react and respond to progressing issues with my health. It may not be easy. But moving forward, diligently, yet still realistically has proven to work best for me.

I am not asking for prayers. I believe that others whom are in far worse situations than myself could really use our prayers. Instead I ask to cheer my success with upcoming testing and surgery with a coffee, glass of wine or yours for the choosing! That's how I view all the obstacles in life. A means to celebrate an adventure that is as successful as the good Lord allows it to be or become. If you know me. I also don't do pity parties. For myself, I see it as a sign of weakness. Lord knows that is the last thing this gal is...Weak.

So I thank YOU for cheering me on during the upcoming weeks!

As far as prayers of support and means of providing hope. I am asking everyone to please consider helping Clark to find a kidney. I am also asking for your prayers today with great healing powers for Clark who is in need of a kidney.

When you come to a crossroads. Remember that someone else may have it far worse. When you come to a crossroads, remember that this too shall pass. There is always something bigger and yet, far scarier. But through it all. We ALL could not get through the crossroads in life without the compassion from one another. LOVE from one another. Helping one another. Let's all help Clark find a kidney!

If you would like to be considered as a possible donor match for Clark. If you know someone who is willing to see if they are a possible kidney donor match for Clark. Please contact:

UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI HOSPITAL

TRANSPLANT DEPARTMENT

Thank...YOU!

Movin...ON! ;)
Mood:  on fire
Now Playing: Day 2763-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

OK.

We had about enough of the bathroom repairing and repainting project. That is until we find out in the next 24-hours if my latest and greatest pipe connecting idea works...Or not. Heeheeheeheehee!

In the meantime. It's time to continue on this great house flipping project! Time to move onto the second bedroom! The last closet to be repaired and repainted. YAYYYYY! Let's be honest. I am beyond thankful to finally have the bathroom complete! Even if the sink pipes don't connect and are a work-in-progress. Either by myself, Eric or the plumber in a week. We did send off the work estimate to our home warranty company. Who knows what they will or will not cover since they asked us to seek an outside contractor after they failed to find one that is willing to have an I-O-U. For now it's off to begin a new project! Have to keep going forward! The plumbing can wait for now as I am crossing all my fingers and toes. Betting everything on good ole Flex-Seal! More of that later... Hahahahaha!

This is my closet of the choosing since buying this monstrosity of a house. There is a lot to patching and repairing to be done before the painting begins. But I am becoming a pro at this kind of stuff! Give me a day to repair and a day to paint! Closets...They tend to be the easiest for me. If I was a heavy gal, this closet would not be so easy. I tend to believe that they built this house for Twiggy the model from back in the day. Hahahahaha! OK. That WAS funny!

While in between patching, repairing and waiting for drywall to literally dry. I decided to whip up another new recipe. Created by little ole me. I never tend to like using recipes. I would much rather create something on my own. Healthy by all means. Eric, he can forget Little Debbie. Her not-so-healthy snack cakes are a thing of the past. A diet of the past. He did admit to feeling a whole lot better, more wide awake and lots more energy since continuing on the new diet of eating clean and organic. I have to stick to my protein shakes today. Liquid for me! Eric got to try my new and latest fish dish. Thai-fish casserole! It sure smelled really GOOD! After Eric inhaled half of the large casserole dish within a few hours. I guess we can safely assume that it tasted, A-OK! Heeheeheeheehee! Steamed veggies, coconut oil, filleted tilapia and a few secret Thai herbs and seasoning. Before and after cooking. For most, it should last a few days. For Eric. It may only last one. Unless Mittens kitty finds her way up to the kitchen counter, again. Lesson learned last week! Never leave left overs on top of the stove after cooling. Then assume that one year old Mittens is all good for staying on the kitty honor system. I honor not to jump up on the stove, remove the Reynolds wrap and eat daddy's left over rice dish. Hahahahaha!

Well...LOOKIE there! When you work on and off, through out the day, in between napping. This closet might just be finished in a few days. Not 3 as initially anticipated.

YAYYYY! Almost...COMPLETE!

Ripping Out...The WALL?!??!!!
Mood:  d'oh
Now Playing: Day 2762-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

When the lemons rain...they literally pour at our house!

Thank goodness the umpteen new drain system actually worked during a few downpours here in the country. The Speedy~Gonzales goal is to make sure that all of the water is being directed 'away' from our house. Not directly over and under our house as prior lack-of proper drains that were installed by the prior owners. I should really highlight the word, "improper." There has yet to be any sort of easy fix with this entire house. Just when we think there will be something that will actually go fairly smoothly...It tends to usually turn out to be a huge undertaking!

The bathroom repairing and repainting project is finally complete. That is...if you don't count another plumber having to make a visit to our house of hidden lemon gems. Pffffff... Seems the prior owners literally joined two different types of pipes, along with two totally different sizes of pipes to hook up the bathroom sink. HOW they meshed the two together can only be described as something out of the stone-age. Literally! Instead of replacing the entire pipe that runs from the sink, through the wall and down into the main drain in the basement. They only replaced one section of the pipe. With what we assumed and today's plumber quickly confirmed. A completely different size pipe, held together by condensation. Water dripping over a long period of time. Most likely in some sort of drip pan or bowl placed behind the sink that actually formed a really thick limestone barrier around the joint that doesn't even fit. How we personally found out was after unscrewing the thick, scaly mess that literally held together two different size pipes. PFFFFF!

We attempted to do our best of using every type of plumbing aid to connect the two different pipes. Thanks also to quite a few online plumbing videos! But after chiseling the thick, nasty crud that was literally holding the two different size pipes together. Nothing has been able to reconnect them without water seeping at a pretty good rate! We are now down to the tub for water, kitchen sink and basement utility tub. OOPS! Can't forget the outdoor hose nozzle! Heeheeheehee! For now anyways... That is because the total cost of having to rip out the wall connected to the original pipe that the prior owners did not replace. But instead used, I assume extra PVC piping laying around in the basement. HA! Will be at the tune of $885.00+. That is also because there is additional plumbing work that needs to be addressed which is connected to the bathroom sink plumbing. Hahahahaha! Hidden agenda? YA THINK! These sellers knew what they were doing. Literally hiding! They aren't fooling me, not one bit! That is because I seem to be the one who is actually stumbling across one huge lemon gem after another. Of course, they moved way, far away to another city in Indiana. I would too if there was a huge possibility of running into the buyers whom are finding one bad repair job or lack of...after another.

Thankfully, our home warranty company will be covering a good majority of this latest gem of a find! That is...after we pay the plumber first and then have to wait 7-10 days or longer to be compensated by the home warranty company. Seems they can't find anyone that is contracted on their end. We even personally gave them 10 plumbing company names and phone numbers. But sorry home warranty company. This isn't the wild-wild-west where we, "I-OWE-U." No company in their right frame of mind is willing to be paid almost 2 weeks later. BAH! This is how it works in this day and age. A company does the work. A company gets paid after their job is complete. Not 7 to 10 days later. Or longer. Tis why we have to pick and choose right now on what is mandatory. Seems using anything, but the bathroom sink is last on the priority list. That is until I put my Wonder Woman skills, tools and ideas to work! GIRL POWER!

Well...At least now the bathroom looks super nice, clean and shower tiles as white as a sheet of paper! You just can't use the sink. But it looks good! Insert....Laughter~

If At First You Don't Succeed...
Mood:  chillin'
Now Playing: Day 2759-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

Try, try, try...Again and again and again.

It appears that someone is in awe of Eric's outstanding job of installing our brand new garage door. OK. So...maybe it's still a work-in-progress with a few final touches with regards of securing the garage door braces. But it still looks a million times better than the old garage door that literally snapped in-half on us. Hahahahaha! The prior owners didn't use any type of garage door opener brace upon installation. On top of using a very cheap fiberglass type of garage door which made it literally super easy to just rip right on-in-half! Lessons learned...For us. The new owners. And of course...the hard way.

Try, try, try...Again and again and again.

I have been doing my best to continue to slowly introduce new healthy solid foods into my daily diet. I will admit that some days it's back to all liquids. While other days, I find it pretty darn exciting to try out a few healthy bites of steamed veggies, whole wheat rice and sliced tofu. Organic of course! We can no longer afford the relistor injections and the pill form unfortunately did not work for my unique GP which effects my entire GI motility. Pills just literally remain still in solid pill form on their way through my entire GI tract by via gravity. Pills never could break down or absorb property which is the majority of the reason why liquid form of anything works best for my GP. Every patient is truly different! What might work for one patient, might not work for another patient. Vice-versa. It's always going to be a learning experience because things always change living with gastroparesis. I have however realized that over time. There will always be something far bigger and far more scarier that can happen, medically speaking. I have just learned with time and experience that you must roll with the punches. Pretty much that also applies to life in general.

Try, try, try...Again and again and again.

I received my answer from SSD regarding a final attempt, from my end, on a possible temporary work permit. It would be very helpful, especially financially for us if I could at least try working part-time. Even if it means working from home. Instead of having my SSD attorney attempt another game of chance for possibly achieving a temporary SSD workers permit for me. I decided to contact SSD on my own with a short, but to the point letter. As of today. I got my final answer. Clearly, there is far more to going back to work when you are on medical SSD than most will ever understand. It's not a case where you just say, "OK, I have decided today when I woke up, that I am going back to work!" Hahahahaha! Yea..R-I-G-H-T... There is so much more to it. Legally. Liability reasons is a huge factor on 'if' and 'when' you may ever have the opportunity to work again. There are far too many factors involved which include the opinions of not just one doctor. But your entire medical team. Every opportunity to present your SSD case, your side of where you stand medically now, than when you were first granted SSD. A patient must prove, showing medical documented proof and letters from all attending physicians. That your medical situation has improved or completely resolved since the first day you were granted SSD. My problem, is that although I have my good days. I also have my bad days. Physically, I can pull the greatest known outer appearance illusion of all! Not appearing sick or as if nothing is going on internally, medically. The problem isn't with my continued success in doing such. The problem is that internally things continue getting worse and medical reports, doctors notes and other factors clearly played a hand in me losing my case. Me this time. Not my attorney. I failed to present medical factors that were either better or completely resolved. I still hold onto hope. But as my life coach also insists, "You must be realistic with your own, very high expectations."

Try, try, try...Again, again and again.

Give this gal a huge round of applause for such tenacity and will to keep going on! Determined as ever to live as much as a normal life. As medically possible. I refuse to give up on working again. There is so much that I want to do. I have the backing, but I first must have the blessing from SSD. Today...I failed. But there is always another tomorrow. Realistically...speaking. Heeheeheehee! As far as Snoreo, he is holding onto hope that one day. In the near future. A new friend will be sitting along side him.

Hmmmm...Now that most definitely sounds promising!

Just Another MANIC Monday ;)
Mood:  cheeky
Now Playing: Day 2758-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

Talking about needing some rain!

It never rains like a normal kind of rain here in the country. This is our very first summer since moving here back in late fall, 2016. So far, when it rains, it LITERALLY POURS!

Of course, that means testing out various measures of making sure that our foundation does not take on further water that is most definitely NOT needed. I have lost track of just how many contractors that have visited our home of many hidden lemon gems and lots of dire repairs. When it rains...I believe it rains $$$. Out of our pocket, anyways... HA!

I can't believe that we are starting another week. When you stay busy, time literally does fly by~ The week, days and hours all seem to just mesh together as one. It's been one heck of an adventure tackling on the biggest feat yet! A major repair, repainting and one huge project after another with our house here in the country. They say, "It's not over till the fat lady sings!" In our case, she is still on a diet, because one could easily burn some serious calories working in and out of this house of major repairs! No pun, or more like, BUN intended. Heeheeheehee!

Our latest little lemon of a gem literally needs a few tetanus shots to go along with it after what we found among the bathroom pipes. It's always of course, by accident. Just doing a double check before officially finishing up the last little bathroom project touch-ups. When we noticed water under the pipes behind the sink. This should had been just a mere tightening of the joints, but OH NO! Eric had to literally unscrew the joint and then found the most nastiest of the nasty lemon gems yet. UGGGGGG! We are lucky that a mere drip of water wasn't the only issue going on, because clearly things were one second away from getting worse. Thanks prior owners for allowing your long, black, thick hair to literally consume itself into one huge knotted mess within the bathroom sink pipes. Also mind you, tampons should be disposed in the garbage can. Not in the sink. Tetanus shot anyone?. Not that a tampon string at this point was such a bad thing. It did allow Eric to pull out far too much old, nasty, decayed hair with too many other nasty descriptions for this blog to mention. If we didn't further investigate that mere, few minor drips of water. Things could had been far worse, only in a matter of short time.

And who says house flipping isn't for the faint-at-heart. LITERALLY! Hahahahahaha!

I guess one should end this blog on a far different, much more light-hearted note... When thinking of water. Let's just say that Eric's rendition of the 'Whiskey Regatta' literally came to life when we paid a visit to the huge race. Speed boat race. Regatta, Eric. No...Not a festival where boats from all around the great USA bring different types of whiskey to share with the festive folks out in the crowd. Heeheeheeheehee! If that were the case. I guess they weren't bringing but a few mere bottles of whiskey on these racing boats! Hahahahahaha!

Ahhhhh...Life...Tis one HUGE adventure...

Energy~As THICK As MOLASSES!
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: Day 2757-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

I SPY...

A tiny little black kitty waiting for us to bring out this mornings breakfast! Heeheeheehee...TOO darn CUTE!

It seems we have welcomed this little kitty as part of our wildlife family a little over 3 months ago. Nothing wrong with making sure he stays as happy and healthy as the rest of his wildlife friends. Just call me, as Eric calls me, Mother Wild. Hahahahaha! My heart belongs to the animals. All animals. Even this cute little kitty!

This morning while attempting to catch up, backtracking this blog. I was surprisingly interrupted by a little girl humming a tune. Behind the couch where I sit, typing away, as if she was pacing the floor and humming away. If that wasn't strange. Once Eric got home from work, he asked if I had turned on the cats toy that circles around a large platform. Hmmmmm... I hadn't gotten up, since finally sitting down after painting in order to attempt catching up on this blog. It seems we have a little visitor that likes to play with the cats and hum a few tunes, as if desperately seeking attention. Yep, this is usually how it happens. Spirit knows who they can comfortably connect with as far as this world. I have always believed. Because...I know.

I firmly believe there are those who are believers. There are those who are skeptics, but want very desperately to believe. Then...there are those whom no matter what happens. Even in front of their very own eyes. They still absolutely refuse to believe. So close minded that no one could ever change their mind nor attempt to pry it open. We actually ran into someone like that over the past month while picking up a moving truck so we could retrieve our dining room set and a few other totes. Ironically, the place where we were scheduled to pick up our rental truck was an actual place that I had been wanting to check out. An old, historic farm and feed mill within our little, lazy, river town.

Mind you. Myself and Eric had never been even as close as parking outside of the old building. But there is always the exception while picking up the moving truck one lazy afternoon. It's always when I least expect, does the energy then whirl itself in front of me like a violent tornado. I can't explain it. But the energy that afternoon was as thick-as-molasses! We weren't sure where to park, since there really wasn't any type of parking lot. So we parked directly across the old farm and seed building. As we got out the car and proceeded to walk toward the building. I felt a burst of energy like never before! Strangely, it was even before we approached the steps going up to the old front porch of the historic building. I actually felt a few things, all at once. I looked at Eric, before walking up the steps, and said, "There is a lot of energy right here in this spot. I don't know why, but I feel someone very strongly holding their neck." We both looked up at the old buildings original windows. It seemed as if time literally stood still, as if those who worked here back in the day were still present. Waiting to greet the next visitor.

The craziest part of all of this, was when we walked through the old front doors and one of the new owners family members greeted us. We didn't see them watching nor listening to us as we approached the front porch steps to the building. But boy, OH BOY! did they looked spooked! As I walked through the door, there was a huge draft of air that quickly surrounded us. There was no breeze outside, which made it that much more strange. Especially to the owners family member who peered as if to check us out before approaching the front desk register. Clearly, they knew that we were there to pick up the rental truck. Right on time! But they initially had other questions in mind...first.

"I overheard you outside. Are you from around here?" We both looked at each other and said, "Actually we are from Ohio, moved here last fall." Oh...OK. Then the gentleman got quiet and said, "I overheard what you said outside. Did you feel something?" At this point. I wasn't sure what to say or how to respond. The family member was literally getting spooked out! But not by what I was saying before walking into their building. But because of my accuracy in what I was saying due to what I was feeling as we were walking up the old wooden front porch steps. "So you don't know about what happened outside of this building many years ago, do you?." I looked at Eric and he even looked shocked after they asked me the question. "No, I have no idea. This is the first time we have been here, but I have always wanted to stop by since moving into the area." As strange as it may sound to skeptics, or those whom have their minds so closed off to the afterlife. That no one could pry it open, even if they tried. The gentleman then looked directly at me and said, "There was a guy who committed suicide using his vehicle by coming down the street as fast as he could and hitting the building with his car. Right where you stopped in front of the steps. It was right there where he died." Eric was shocked! As for myself, the feeling of needing to hold my neck while walking up the old wooden steps was because it was literally the exact spot where the gentleman died. We have heard due to being decapitated from the car hitting the building with such great force.

That wasn't the only person I was picking up on inside the old, historic building. As the gentleman began talking further about the suicide that happened outside of their building. I could feel the presence of workers, many, many workers from back in the day. Their energy was still present, as if they were still working, waiting to leave in order to get back home to their loved ones. It was a very playful kind of energy! I couldn't help, but to smile after the gentleman finished his story and began talking to me about the old farm and seed building. "It used to be an old flour mill back in the day." I looked at him and said, "I bet a lot of workers kept this place busy, day in and day out!" He didn't know what to say, because at that very moment the strong playful energy began coming to life. The front door flew wide open, the bell on the old wooded counter fell over and rang. The gentleman was so spooked out that even the register stopped working, which he swore up and down had never, EVER stopped working for no good reason. I felt that this gentleman had felt these same, exact playful spirits before and he wasn't happy with them. I walked around as we waited for the register to reboot so we could get our receipt for the rental truck. If I could paint a picture, clearly what I felt and saw were young men in dusty overalls, khaki pants, tall boots and huge smiles. As if having a BLAST once again, messing with the owners son.

You see...That gentleman who is part of a much larger family that now owns the old historic building doesn't believe. He is a non-believer. In fact, he actually voiced his opinion after I asked him point blank. "Have you ever had anything odd happen here since your family bought the building and turned it into a farm and seed store?" The owners son was shocked! He not only got extremely quiet, but made a comment aimed towards things that I believe have happened since their family had taken over the business. "Darn demons! They are messing with me again! This register has never done this before!" At this point, I felt his frustration. Yet, those playful spirits whom still reside, yet still come to work each and every day would have nothing to do with his comments. They would only continue on as the door swung open again, the old front desk bell ringing as if to mock the owners son on more than a few occasions. He even shocked the heck out of myself and Eric after I decided to step outside while the gentleman got his composure together due to the register literally freezing up on him, again. Even the old farm and seed building cat named, Conway felt some sort of playful presence while keeping us company. Heeheeheehee! The same gentleman, once again, swore up and down that Conway isn't a social kind of cat and was even a bit taken back that he came directly up to me upon initially walking into the old front doors. If things weren't crazy enough, the owners son shocked us both after I walked back into the building after catching some fresh air. "Did you have anything to do with the register not working!?" If only he could see and feel what I was, because those young workers from back in the day were laughing to their hearts content! I could only look at him, smile and nod my head...No.

I guess you can say, that sometimes even non-believers have their moments of belief. You just can't make this stuff up. You can't make up what I also felt before even walking up those old wooden stairs. Knowing that the owners son was watching and listening to us the entire time. THAT is something that even non-believers, like this gentleman. Just have to believe. So maybe...The playfully joking around spirits might not be on this gentleman's best side. But I have a feeling that what myself and Eric witnessed first hand that day. Isn't the first nor will it be the last time he will fall victim to the jokingly playful spirits of the young workers from back in the day. A flour mill that is still very much alive today as it was many, many decades ago.

As for Conway kitty...He keeps what he knows to himself! Heeheeheeheehee...

DESTINED. DETERMINED!
Mood:  vegas lucky
Now Playing: Day 2756-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

It's back to the daily grind with ongoing house projects!

One day to rest. Now back to business!

What I have not gotten used to living on a wooded hillside is the scary abundance of spiders. Not little spiders. OH NO! Big, huge, scary-as-heck kind of spiders! The kind that you don't see until your face ends up as one with their quite creative ways of making GINORMOUS spider webs! EEEE~YIKES!!

I have lost track on how many times we have literally walked right into one of these perfectly spiraled webs of EEEE~YIKES!!! Eric went face-first, walking right into one while feeding the deer last night. Hahahahaha! I have had my fair share, even as much as getting my leg tangled into quite a few. There aren't enough visits from Terminix to rid these bigger than the country spiders! All you can really do...Is just be alert. Both eyes straight ahead! Hahahahaha!

This evening it was about revisiting the bathroom project of doing our best to somehow undo a really bad tile job. I began working on the bathroom remodel late last year. A month after we closed. But over the past week we decided to make it our #1 priority. More so myself, since Eric had overtime scheduled this week. It's been quite an adventure, but it now appears that I should be officially done with the bathroom and onto the second bedroom by the end of this weekend. YAYYYYY~FOR ME!!!

There is nothing quite like a very neat, clean, sealed from top-to-bottom country coastal theme bathroom. No more crazy colors, crazy stripes and all sorts of crazy kind of caulk that the prior owners used to seal various areas of the bathroom. No wonder we could never figure out where drops of water found in the basement were coming from directly below the bathroom. It's because the prior owners used drywall caulking to seal around the tub and shower tile. Let's not go there on the time it took to literally 'UN-DO' the huge mess. One heck of a project! One tile at-a-time! By this weekend the shower should be nice, neat, properly sealed, tiles replaced, repaired and white as a sheet of paper! WOO~HOO!

What we really need is another Celebration Sunday this coming weekend. But with rain predicted for the entire weekend here in the country. Looks like we will most likely have to take another rain check. No PUN intended! BAH! At least we have plenty to do in order to stay super busy this weekend. I have also been staying in close touch with my second cousin and his fiancé out in Kirwin. Even with our language barriers, we still find time to continue connecting on a weekly basis. It's been quite fascinating learning about a completely different side of family...DNA. They are planning on visiting us for the upcoming holidays and we couldn't be more super excited! So many great reasons to get the remainder of this house flipped, INSIDE-OUT, ASAP!

Of course...There is our ultimate goal that is slowly inching it's way within our reach...

All good things to those who wait!

Take Your Time Woman! Relax...
Mood:  chillin'
Now Playing: Day 2755-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

Not only are we both on a mission!

But today my body finally fell out of mission. BAH! I believe that my body literally screamed this morning, "Take your time woman! Relax..."

We all had such an amazing time last night. I however, did end up trying a few new things when it comes to solid food. Sometimes a GP'ers worse enemy. In general...Any solid food. I have been doing my best to slowly introduce a few new things through out the day. Slowly building on a very limited diet that consists of mainly liquids. I assume that maybe there is a reason why. I guess one also figured out why fried green tomatoes might not had been such a wise choice. 1 tomato could had possibly been A-OK. But not 2 fried green tomatoes. LORDIE! I also decided to be really bold by ordering a small side of the restaurants famous, peanut slaw. Sure, no red meat, no fish nor any other type of meat or seafood. I figured staying with greens, vegetables and a safe decaf iced tea, lemon on the side would be safe enough.

Maybe then. But not later.

I had plans today to finish up the very last little bit still left with the bathroom repairing and repainting project. Today. Not tomorrow. But what doesn't stay down, must come back up. No more crazy peanut slaw or fried green tomatoes for this gal. And I had a lot of leftovers to bring home. Eric ate those today. I am back on liquids for at least a few days. Hahahahaha! There is still no reason why we can't take a road off the same ole course with GP. I honestly must say, that so far it has been more successful than initially anticipated with reintroducing solid foods back into my diet. One small step and one 'small' spoonful at a time. Lesson learned!

At least we had lots of wildlife visitors through out the sunny, cloudy, rainy and then sunny again kind of day here in the country. We sure needed the rain and so did the deer and their super cute babies! The creeks that run along our property and through out the wooded hillside were running dry. Even the deer need to eat and have plenty of water in order to survive. Eric was on a 24-hour water mission over the past week. As fast as he filled the birdbath, the faster the water was consumed. Our pride and joy deer, we named Dots, is so spoiled that she literally just sleeps outside in eyes view of our living room window. Talking about spoiled! But very much well worth it!

Boy is Santa going to happy with us this year! His deer will not only be super healthy and ready for another trip around the world, delivering gifts to all the good little boys and girls! But I overheard by a few elves that we are so far on the TOP of the NICE list! Heeheeheeheehee!

And as far as Santa's deer...They are looking very much happy, healthy and ready as ever! Even the babies...
