It's been one year as we begin going through the steps all over again... the dreaded phone call that our beloved Littleblue was beginning to quickly lose such a brave battle. It wasn't until holding her paw while the veterinarian assisted her to a peaceful passing that I realized the most precious part of life.
Hand and Paw... I gave her the comfort and love that she had given me for so many years while taking her last breath.
Cancer
Not one single human being will ever understand the journey unless you too have been in those shoes... every step between first diagnosis... and the comfort of trying to compassionately help someone during the last stage of their Journey... even a fur child. Losing a sacred life to cancer
The one thing that if I could firmly and strongly suggest anyone that decides to have children or fur children of your very own... is that you allow your child or children the right to express their emotions.
Growing up and feeling as if expressing your emotions was some sort of character flaw is not the way to parent a child. Then in turn growing up as an adult and being made a mockery of by showing or expressing your emotions as merely being deemed having a "mental problem"... is the most damning way to treat your child.
We are furever blessed to be able to spend some of the most memorable moments of our life with our beloved Littleblue. Even during her own brave Journey with cancer.
At 8 a.m. this morning... we finally allowed ourselves the opportunity to grieve and look back through photos and videos that we could otherwise not do over the past 12 months. It was just far too hard for us to relive.
Even our furbabies remain with us through this Lifetime and Beyond. Their spirit still remains until we cross the Rainbow Bridge... Hand & Paw... Together.
In memory of our beloved Littleblue.
