Did someone say...

Time to take it down a few notches and get back to a little bit of COOKIN' WITH LITTLE OL' ME... right here in the country!

I don't know about you... but we all need hobbies to keep our minds from far more stressful things in life. On my good days what I really enjoy doing is cooking.

This is an old school recipe but oh-so-tasty!

If you're counting calories and fat don't you worry because this dish is a little bit waist friendly..

So get your apron on and get ready for some quick easy MONKEYBREAD minus the monkeys!

One to two cans of biscuits

3 to 4 tablespoons of butter preferably light, yogurt or organic

Cinnamon sugar spice

Vanilla decorative icing

One bundt cake pan

One large spoon

One butter knife

Yep...it's that easy!

The rest of the recipe can be found on today's podcast~blogcast video.

Enjoy & Bon Appetit!

That Same Authentic Self Still Remains~
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: Day 3076-Chapter 3... Happiness~My Silver Lining

It's been awhile... what actually feels like quite awhile since writing on this blog... minus repeating what's been happening on our new website.

"Our Crazy Little Life"

Thanks to everyone for all of your continued support and patience as we are hopeful to make a full transition by the end of this summer.

There has been so many changes that have kept us busy in our crazy little life. Some good... some not so good as we anxiously await a letter/document that should arrive in the mail by sometime next week. It's unfortunate when family never took the time to really understand the ups and downs that have happened in our life over the past several years. I can only be honest to a certain point without having to constantly repeat myself... but when those who refuse to listen and then take it upon themselves to continue not to listen or at least understand all of the struggles and many hardships we have endured over the past several years. Well... trust me by saying with more than enough experience, "You can expect some not-so-happy changes to come about... some sooner... some later."

Myself and Eric fully expect far bigger doors to close permanently within our lives. This is what happens when you assume and expect others... especially your own family... to understand your journey. What we have both learned over the past several years is that no one is ever going to understand what you are going through unless they too are walking in your shoes. As a stepmother... I have learned quite a lot over the past several years. I have also with the help of a professional made decisions in the best interest of my stepchild. I stand firm in saying that I have absolutely zero regrets in making sure to protect the best interests at heart with that stepchild. Although... I can not change the course of actions from those who never truly understood our journey nor cared to listen to the reasons for protecting my stepchild by keeping them with their grandparents while undergoing oncology treatments, surgeries, endless procedures, new residential structural problems and far-too-much family conflict.

My decisions were not made solely alone. They were made with the help of a professional... a child psychologist whom also agreed with me in making sure the stepchild did not have to be a part of years of highly combative, unhealthy family conflict nor watch me endure oncology treatments, surgical procedures and other changes within life that go along with long term illness. What we needed was time to get back to a much more stable... happier life for my stepchild. But with time comes those whom feel they have privileges that overstep the boundaries of even biological birth parents. I was told that I was a "Nobody as a Stepparent." That my opinions meant nothing. I even spent years reaching out to my stepchild only to recently find out that the grandparents never told the stepchild nor about anything we sent in the mail. My spouse was very upset and rightfully so but this is what happens when what used to be family... refuses to listen nor accept struggles within your own journey.

Disheartening would be an understatement. Yet... I do not regret doing what was best for my stepchild in order to make sure they were sheltered from anything but living a happy healthy life. If I am to be damned forever for doing such a thing. Then so be it as any good parent, stepparent or biological parent should do which is to look out for the best interest of a child.

The long awaited letter in the mail... depending on the outcome will forever change our life, my life as a stepparent. Another change that we are awaiting and the impact it will instantly bring to our life. When my grandmother, my last grandparent passed away a few years ago. Family had kept not just my spouse, but my stepchild from attending the funeral which was a God given right taken away by family. It would then by my last and final funeral myself and my spouse have both decided to ever attend. I had to leave that funeral of my grandmother far too early and not by choice. The hurt alone of not allowing my spouse and stepchild to be present by a few in attendance was far too much for me to fathom, whether alone to be in the same funeral home room with the family members. Out of respect for my grandmother, after she made it clear to me months prior of her passing, to not attend her funeral because of the conflict within family and not wanting me to endure any further stress. She made it clear to myself and Eric that we were far better off without the fools in our lives. I haven't forgotten what those family members took away from me, my spouse and my stepchild. The right and privilege of being present with my spouse and stepchild at my own grandmothers funeral. Nor will I ever forget. The same way I felt while being blatantly disrespected by my own uncle as he firmly reached out and grabbed my arm twice in front of my grandmother laying in rest. "HEY YOU! COME HERE!" Clearly not the right place nor showed any type of respect as a niece who isn't a child anymore. It not only shocked me, but beyond embarrassed me. After that... I made the right decision to leave.

It was the last funeral of any family myself and my spouse will ever attend.

But with time and far too much experience... both good and bad comes wisdom and life experiences to share with so many others.

I have spent far too many years being silenced and threatened by family in not allowing myself to be the true, authentic me. Not being allowed to have feelings nor any expression of emotions. What a hellish and most definitely a very unhealthy way to live for far too many years as it took a tremendous toll on my health.

Through some of the most difficult trials and tribulations.. that same authentic strong self has finally reemerged stronger than ever before!

We look forward in continuing to share our story in hopes of inspiring others around the world because you too are never alone.

Never allow anyone to silence you.

Never allow anyone to burn that bright beautiful light within.

Now Playing: Day 3073-Chapter 3... Happiness~My Silver Lining

Boy oh BOY!

The comments have been flying regarding these public screenshots sent to us of what should be an example for everyone to never post anything remotely close on any public social media website. If you want to make comments... which we all can regarding anyone because it's called the freedom of speech. Make sure to do so offline or make sure your social media accounts are set on private or make sure just to not say anything at all that may steer others in the wrong direction and then screenshots are flying all over cyber world.

And never threaten... whether alone "publicly threaten" anyone on any social media public site.

Comments such as... "Unprofessional" and "Ratchet" have been just a few sent over... however... if someone likes a website and wants to share the website...well... it is the United States of America and we all have the right to freedom of speech.

Posting such a really unprofessional comment is not only in poor taste... but when you don't do damage control and so many others disagree with as they state an, "Unprofessional and "Ratchet comment"... I think clearly this should speak to everyone to keep comments like this off of social media for the public to see and then judge very sternly.

As for my wife... personally seeing this screenshot sent by a few of those in the cheer industry, my wife's highschool mutual acquaintances and her own cousin was the most disturbing of them all. It's one thing to not like me or my website while for some reason these individuals continue to stalk myself and my wife's Gastroparesis Awareness Campaign website... but to literally make fun of my wife, your sibling and aunt... who has been continuing to do their best to keep a float speaks so much more than, "Unprofessional" and "Ratchet."

I am a Deputy for the Sheriff's department. I also was the one to come up with ideas for a way to help my wife gain a temporary work permit working from home so we can continue medical treatments, any ongoing surgical procedures and prescription drug costs. My wife can only work from home after first being approved by her treating specialists. Make sure you sit down with a disability attorney so you can get your facts straight first before making far-fetched discriminating comments that I take personally against my wife and others who are disabled. As far as not being educated on those who still want to wake up and live day-to-day while hoping to be cured while on disability... some specialists do medically term it as, "Terminal." Per my wife's own treating specialists, "You must still find hobbies to keep your spirits up." This was told to us not just by one of my wife's treating specialists, but many. For my wife's sibling to laugh and make fun of her wanting to partake in something that makes her laugh and smile is in my opinion, no sibling by any means. Laughing and poking fun of my wife's condition, laughing at medical terms of anyone, "Terminal" is downright bullying in the mind of many.

You claim on the attached screenshot of your public social media post... comments about myself and my website;

"I'm sure the jail immates would love to see what the jail guard does on his freetime."

As I am sure all those who serve or work in the business of cheer, as well paying clients, love to see how you treat my wife/your sibling and poke fun of those who are deemed disabled... regardless of their disability.

As far as finally addressing the elephant in the room... figure of speech... of any niece that my wife told me would call and speak to her while going through a pregnancy and life's trials and tribulations...  my wife always being there for the niece. Only in turn to slander my wife on public social media. Make sure to let others know that you have not included my wife for many years, almost a decade to many important life events. That includes my wife's right to have gotten to know your child or children. Making the decision to omit my wife in your important life events is yes... your decision... but please make sure to post the facts first that you have disappeared by your own choice for almost a decade out of my wife's life. As far as the niece who contacted my wife's website that is meant for those looking for information regarding Gastroparesis... not a place where the niece clearly used as otherwise. Why do you continue stalking my wife's website and my website? If you claim as clearly you claimed on the websites comment section that is under privacy for security reasons such as what you personally wrote... IP address came from your personal device... that you do not consider myself nor my wife your family. Then do yourself a favor and don't save, download or click on my wife's Gastroparesis Awareness Campaign website link nor my website located on this webpage. It's really just as easy as that. As far as the skits that I choose to do on my website. That is up to my discretion as everyone knows... they are character skits. You may want to look up comedy to understand character skits.

To the other individual in the screenshot that myself and my wife do not know. Thank you for your service. I am an Army veteran of 17 years and yes... I have balls.

Tomorrow is our anniversary and I would like to comment that these screenshots show the reasons why my wife is the bravest person that I know as she always somehow continues to laugh and smile. Any sibling to laugh and make fun of their sibling who they know went through radiation therapy and other oncology treatments is no sibling in any right frame of mind. For any sibling or nieces and nephews that would post such really disheartening and disturbing comments towards their own aunt or sibling who is still battling cancer is far from any decent human being. For any nieces or nephews to poke fun of their aunt speaks volumes. For any sibling that appears by opinions of others by possible having an affair with any ex-spouse by continuing to contact them is something that is unthinkable. When my wife has a distant cousin causing further problems by sending public screenshots of conversations online and offline among these individuals... then maybe you shouldn't have your cousin on your public social media websites or your phone contact list.

Remember at the end of the day. I was there for my wife during all of her treatments, including other experimental treatments and far too many surgeries. Even making the decision to cancel a most recent surgery. Where were all of you? My wife's parents were not present during those radiation and other oncology treatments, that includes those within her own immediate family. They claim that they did not know where the radiation treatments were taking place. Yet, the photos on my wife's own personal online blog said otherwise as well my wife was being treated by the same radiation oncologist as her father. The facts are the facts. I was there for my wife's fathers surgery for his own cancer diagnosis. There was no one there for my wife nor myself while waiting in a very quiet, quite sombering oncology treatment waiting area. That also includes my own parents who were fully aware of my wife's treatments. Not one time did they call my wife to ask how she was doing nor bother to even send her a card. Instead friends made up for what family lacked... support. Actions do speak louder than words. So do the facts. Sad facts.

To those who have voiced very strong opinions on what was wrote... All I can say is don't let folks like this get to you because at the end of the day... even these individuals should have woken up with a few Snickers.

Introducing... The SURGEON
Mood:  d'oh
Now Playing: Day 3071-Chapter 3... Happiness~My Silver Lining

Well... I'll be a slice of cornbread and biscuits!

Who we have here...

Introducing... The Surgeon?

It's been a pretty eye-opening day that started this morning once I had called the hospital and my specialists office to cancel everything. Of course they have their concerns... however moving forward everything is pretty much left up to my discretion because things have never gotten better only worse. Same as with the last and most recent surgery trying to figure out issues with damage caused by radiation therapy. The surgeon had to vacate surgery once they got in with the scope because things were past the point of any further options.

So... after having a little heart-to-heart on the phone this morning. My specialist has me coming in early next week to discuss things and have offered me another surgical date later next week.

Between having some very vivid dreams and symptoms that are a bit disheartening along with not feeling. I do not feel physically ready to endure any type of surgical procedure... this might be for everyone's best interest. If you ask me will I even move forward with surgery next week? Right now... I would have to say no. So it's a good thing to give myself a little bit of extra time because we all know our body better than anyone on the face of this Earth and that includes any doctor... any surgeon or any Mayo Clinic.

Till then... there's always room for smiles and

oh-so-much laughter!

The Furever Bond... We Miss You Littleblue♡♡♡
Mood:  sad
Now Playing: Day 3069-Chapter 3... Happiness~My Silver Lining

It's been one year as we begin going through the steps all over again... the dreaded phone call that our beloved Littleblue was beginning to quickly lose such a brave battle. It wasn't until holding her paw while the veterinarian assisted her to a peaceful passing that I realized the most precious part of life.

Hand and Paw... I gave her the comfort and love that she had given me for so many years while taking her last breath.

Not one single human being will ever understand the journey unless you too have been in those shoes... every step between first diagnosis... and the comfort of trying to compassionately help someone during the last stage of their Journey... even a fur child. Losing a sacred life to cancer

The one thing that if I could firmly and strongly suggest anyone that decides to have children or fur children of your very own... is that you allow your child or children the right to express their emotions.

Growing up and feeling as if expressing your emotions was some sort of character flaw is not the way to parent a child or children. Then in turn growing up as an adult and being made a mockery of by showing or expressing your emotions as merely being deemed having a "mental problem"... is the most damning way to treat your child or children. In turn... allowing another adult child to poke fun at any sibling who is expressing their emotions is not good nor certainly not a healthy way of parenting by any means.

We are furever blessed to be able to spend some of the most memorable moments of our life with our beloved Littleblue. Even during her own brave Journey with cancer.

At 8 a.m. this morning... we finally allowed ourselves the opportunity to grieve and look back through photos and videos that we could otherwise not do over the past 12 months. It was just far too hard for us to relive.

Even our furbabies remain with us through this Lifetime and Beyond. Their spirit still remains until we cross the Rainbow Bridge... Hand & Paw... Together.

In memory of our beloved Littleblue.

Forever loved and never forgotten to the Moon & Beyond~

The Power Of Trust ♡
Mood:  special
Now Playing: Day 3068-Chapter 3... Happiness~My Silver Lining

It has literally taken me months to build trust between myself and this handsome young buck.

Trust is not only a very hard thing as a human...  but even more so for an animal such as the deer.

I think as humans we more so use hunting as a means of casual weekend hobbies... when in all reality... we should be spending time learning how to respect all of God's creatures both big and small.

Allowing them The Sacred Gift Of Life... not death.

Only a mere two feet separated myself and this amazing... yet mesmerizing gentle soul.

I never believed in hunting... and I never will.

Instead I will continue the remainder of my life believing in the Love of All Creatures... God's gift for us to love, care and nurture.

Truly... A Once in a Lifetime Moment~
