A Most BEAUTIFUL Day In God's Country! :)
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Day 2685-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

Crisp cool temperatures, clear skies and lots of beautiful sunshine!

LOVE~SPRING

Today was a perfect day to get out and enjoy the great outdoors before the heat and humidity return early next week!

I have just started a new treatment. Although, it's completely different than my other treatments that I have tried over this past year. I still remain to do my best to get out and enjoy life.

My new motto? Seize the day, hour, minute & second!

That includes our entire little family. Even our fur children who have an absolute blast playing with their human parents in the lush green grass. Our new site for YOLO has lots of land for us to enjoy some family time. There is also plenty of places to go fishing, hiking, biking and even golf! Yep, that's in the making! Who knows what this summer will bring as far as the weather. I sure won't dare to predict, but in the meantime we are going to enjoy this beautiful day and perfect weather!

A little football, a nice walk along the river trails and ending the evening watching the sun slowly disappear out on the open land...

A picturesque end to a most beautiful day in God's country

Hope means being an example of light.

When life feels of nothing, but complete hopeless, helpless darkness. Yet still finding the light is what keeps me going.

That... Silver Lining.

During my absent of this blog. I have reflected on what exactly this blog means to me. What it means to others.

I hope that my blog continues to make a difference to someone else along the way. To provide light through darkness. To bring hope through out this crazy place we call life.

Our own unique, special and quite magical journey.

Hope is being able to see that there is light...

Rolling With The Punches
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: Day 2683-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

Yesterday might had been a true hospital BUST!

However... Today turned out to be a complete turn-around kind of hospital day. PLUS!

I used to sleep like a vampire. Living like a true night owl. Life after dark. Now I am far from a night owl. Life sometimes let's you know that the early bird does get the worm. Sometimes... Also a very early morning wake up call with it~

8:00AMRise N' Shine!

9:00AM out the door! Time to head back across state lines to the city. Hospital treatment day.

No stressors today. Not for this gal anyways.

I am less than a month away from my next rescan. A full year as of May 4th from a very tough round of radiation therapy. A fast-track treatment that left me wondering if somehow, it was all worth it. One year and less than one week later. It seems that sometimes it truly never ends. When you want to finally see some sort of break. Some type of remission.

I have done my best to stay out of the emergency room. So far, only a few visits for this year. That is a major improvement from this time last year! Maybe it is because, I know there isn't much more my specialists can do, but to tackle the new symptoms and oncology treatment side effects as they come. All I want is to go back to work. As of this past March, it has been six years that I have been on permanent disability. Tis not been fun. Especially when I am so used to staying busy.

There are days, however, when a swift reality check is in order for why I still have a ways to go before my doctors will allow me to try going back to work. One cell, is all it takes for things to go from bad to worse. No one can predict what happens after radiation therapy. We were told to expect things to come full circle because the treatments didn't work. Today was a lesson to the golden rule that one can not predict what happens after radiation or any other type of oncology treatment. All you can do sometimes. Is do your best to roll with the punches. Continue living life to the fullest!

My nurse today said it best, as she told me about her sister who bravely battled breast cancer. After enduring radiation therapy and chemo therapy treatments. Her sister did successfully beat cancer, but without enduring many post-treatment side effects. "It's like my sister got rid of the nasty cancer and is now dealing with another entirely different beast. A new host of post-treatment problems." My heart goes out to her sister. Especially when it comes to facing the unknown. I deal with my own medical demons. Even I am not alone.

At the end of the day. The most sought after words that a patient so desperately seeks to hear.

"Remission."

For some it comes after treatment. For others like myself, we still have a long ways left to go...

theshando Moments. They happen.

Today was and is a moment. What does remission mean? I heard that word and have no idea how to react. Good news? YES. Overwhelming. YES. Now more waiting. As every single one of my fellow cancer family knows, the next five years is crucial. Reoccurrences happen all the time. Many of you have shared that very story with me. So with a heart that is certainly lighter, I wait. In the meantime, decisions. Reconstruction which is several surgeries. Decision on taking a pill for the next five years that comes with its own set of problems and side effects. I am blessed, I know that. But for now... remission. I'm going to just breathe. #cancerslayer

Life. Tis Always A Lesson. Learned.
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: Day 2682-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

Have you ever come across a person, that no matter how wrong they see a situation. They still will go head-to-head battle towards you with the wrong information?.

Have you ever dealt with those who don't know how to communicate in life?

Yep. I dealt with that kind of person. Today.

I was on my way, back across state lines, back to the city for a new hospital treatment. A very important day with my specialist due to unfortunate reasons. What I have learned over the past year after enduring oncology treatments. Is that stress and treatment drugs don't mix. When stress is that bad, tis best to redo the day. Another chance across state lines, back to the city, tomorrow.

Have you ever come across a person that always cuts you down. No matter the topic or occasion? Respect is a two-way street and insults don't help any type of damaged relationship. When one party knows how to communicate. Yet, sadly not the other. Yes, that happens a lot to me. Once again, today. I spent many years in therapy and I am not ashamed of it. In fact, I am very proud of taking the reigns and understanding an extremely unfortunate situation. Sure, I have my set-backs. No one is perfect.

Today, I take FULL responsibility. Especially when I should know better, great therapy, lessons learned. Yep, I most definitely know better. But you know what? Tomorrow is a chance to start over again. Tomorrow is a new day! A day to rewind with no stressors attached. A clear head in hopes of gaining more good days!

Life? Tis always a lesson. Learned.

YOLO-YOLO-Where Art Thou Dear YOLO?.
Mood:  sharp
Now Playing: Day 2681-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

Sure, today's blog title might be funny, but the situation with YOLO is becoming far from funny...

We are still in limbo and so is YOLO. You only live once, that's the name of our RV, camper, trailer, fifth wheeler, whatever you may like to call her. The problem is that we have never even had the chance to enjoy YOLO. A $32,650 purchase that was to enable us to finally vacate out of our home that is literally sinking, still shifting, still making uneasy sounds each and every day.

Camping World is the dealer. Heartland Corporation is the maker of a very defective YOLO. Yet, still we know nothing.

Today we showed up, unannounced, at the Camping World location. This after several failed attempts, phone calls to the dealership where I did my purchase. Some how, I have nothing to show for it, but a defective and now further damaged camper.

Surprised, shocked, jaw-dropping facial expressions of those who work behind the service department. When myself and Eric made an unannounced visit after finally getting through to customer service. Only to be told, "I have no idea about your camper." Sure... They don't. That's why once we showed up and demanded answers. We found out that YOLO was still sitting there at the same Camping World location with FURTHER damage. Yes, now not only do we have damage from faulty slide mechanics. But now there was visible damage to the outside of the slider and on the opposite end from either the company towing it from YOLO's new site or while sitting there at the dealership. We were told Thursday that everything was being squared away to be sent back up to Heartland Corporation. Sure... It WAS!

Amazing when you are told things only to appease you. Anything that is far from the truth. Such a shame... Isn't it?.

One thing is of truth and for certain. I said that we weren't sure if and when we might see YOLO again. Now I have zero information on when anything will be resolved, but instead two large corporations placing liability on a mechanically unsafe camper. Pointing fingers at each other. Why must two corporations make such a large mountain out of a molehill? It's so easy, yet so clear to resolve this entire situation. Per the bank, state and others involved. Either buy back the purchase or swap out the defective camper.

If you think this might just be a case of bad luck, think again! We aren't alone with problems regarding faulty, defective, poorly constructed RV, campers, fifth wheels and trailers. There are a slue of consumer complaints with factual pictures against Camping World. I would like to think, that after reading two pages of note-worthy complaints. It feels better to realize that we are not alone with our misfortunate new $32,650 purchase. If you believe that, you are sadly mistaken.

"YOLO-YOLO-Where Art Thou Dear YOLO?"

Still at the same Camping World location.

CAMPING WORLD REVIEWS

1.9 OUT OF 5 STARS

Camping world is a rip off

May 10, 2017

We purchased a new keystone trailer from camping world in March of 2017. We used the trailer one time and had to bring it back because of water running down the wall in the bunk room.

They tried to tell me that it was condensation. No way in **** is it condensation, the water is 5 inches wide and runs from the ceiling to the floor. It did soak the mattress, about a 8 inch spot on both bunks in one night. Look at the pics and tell me what you think.

The roof has 8 to 10 holes in a seam about two feet away from the wet walls. They repaired the holes before the water test. Deanna the service manager said they did not do anymore damage to the trailer by adding more water to it.

Remember they said it is condensation ya sure it is. They filled in the holes so they will not have to replace the trailer or fix the wall with the water damage. The trailer has been there for over a month. They have also did other work on the trailer and almost all of it had to be redone. They wanted us to pick up the trailer even when we did not want to, when we discovered another water leak by the valves for the gray and black tanks. The service tech started to rip the under belly apart to find the problem, the whole rear corner and wall of the trailer is completely soaked with water.

I went to speak with Deanna about this and she told me that rain water from the road can pool in the belly when you drive it down the road. We had only used this thing one time and it has been at their lot for a month, so I am going to believe that it is rain water from the road, YA right. We have hired a lawyer to help and get our money back.

If you are reading this do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO TO CAMPING WORLD, they will **** over. If you don't believe me just go to the better business bureau they have over 600 complaints filed against them.

Damaged or defective/$30,000

Camping World-Still waiting for repair to start.

May 02, 2017

Camping World is the worst place to go to get repair done on your RV. Mine has been in the shop for 6 weeks now.

I was told they are waiting on Heartland. I called Heartland they said no request for repair was ever sent in. Even though I was told it was put in 4 weeks ago by the Service Advisor. The next day I get an E-Mail from Heartland saying they just received the request from Camping World.

Heartland said Camping World never needs to get approval from them for Warranty repair. DO NOT GO TO CAMPING WORLD FOR RV REPAIR.

Still waiting for the work to start. Waiting on a call back also.

Reply from fblumberg  May 05

they will string it out as long as possible even long enough 4 the warranty to expire and then blame you, watch your back and in all possible cases save all paperwork emails etc and get a good lawyer! you will need it they use a Philly firm.

A Celebration Of 19 Kitty Years! :)
Mood:  hug me
Now Playing: Day 2680-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

Today marks a very special and quite PURRRfect day to celebrate 19 very long kitty years in the making!

HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY TO OUR BELOVED CUDDLES KITTY

Cuddles is one out of our beloved 6 rescue fur children that has beaten more than the odds. She has outlived all of her siblings at 19 years young. That is a LOT of 9 lives isn't it?!

 LOVE~LOVELOVE

Cuddles is one of the most sweetest kitties that not only has been a wonderful fur mom to young Beary, Lucky and Mittens. But she has also mothered her own kittens through out the past 19 years. We can only hope and pray that her kittens as well go on to live a very happy PURRRRfect life! Over this past week our beloved Cuddles had to be placed on heart medication due to mostly her age. The only thing that I asked is for God to allow us to celebrate her 19th year of a very happy life with our little family.

Today we thank the good Lord for answering our prayers. Many thanks as well to our very dear friend and framily, Dr. T for helping us as well over the past almost 2 decades. Caring for all of our beloved fur children.

XOXOXO

It's A Date!
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Day 2679-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

What a B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L day in the country!

Clear skies and no rain means time to get out and enjoy the day!

Yep... It's a DATE!

Of course, the negativity did it's absolute best to get the best of me, but sorry, I have had far too many life lessons. It didn't work on me. Heartland Corporation was suppose to be towing back YOLO today, but instead I never received any phone calls. What I did do, is contact the Camping World location that initially sold us the wrong RV in the first place. It took a few hours, but I finally received a phone call. This after we received title work in the mail that once again, had more issues than the National Enquirer to deal with~ HA!

Rule to the wise. Google reviews do not lie.

If you are looking to buy an RV, per my own personal experience. Do not buy from Camping World. Do not as well buy anything built by Heartland Corporation.

It's a good thing that I have been through my fair share of experiences through out my lifetime. Some good. Some bad. REALLY bad. HA! I have finally mastered the art of... Change. Changing for the better! That includes how I handle all of life's little unforeseen and most of the time. Completely PREVENTABLE situations. If you screw up, mess up, then by all means... OWN UP to your mistakes. Bask like the best Thanksgiving day turkey one can find in your mistakes. Hahahaha! OK, that WAS FUNNY! Maturity means owning up when you mess up. This gal has come a very long way! If I mess up, by golly, I will be owning up to my mistakes. You don't need to ask me for an apology. I am a far more wiser, bigger person now for the life lessons I have learned along the way.

Sorry Camping World. Sorry Heartland Corporation. Your requests for me to sign a full liability disclosure in order to have your defective RV towed back to your corporation will not be signed by me. It is your responsibility.

That was just a mere few hours start of our day. Tis a day far from a complete loss. Not on my watch with such a beautiful day here in the country! Actually... A picture perfect date night here in the country!

I am on a quest! A quest to enjoy the rest of my life each and every day! I refuse to let anything nor anyone stand in my way. A mere RV issue doesn't mean all is lost. Not in the least bit. Life has far more to offer than what can be spent $$$.

No matter how big. No matter how small. Family means everything. I am blessed to have it all!

The Day That You Realize... You Have Changed For The Better :)
Mood:  special
Now Playing: Day 2678-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

The beautiful YOLO-you only live once, was officially delivered and all set up at her new site. What an absolutely picturesque, breathtaking view!

You know that old saying? "Life can change in an instant."

A moment of celebrating a successful move from Ohio to Indiana. Changed in a mere instant. We went from taking photos of all the amazing views, including those from inside YOLO's windows... To taking photos of a serious defect. Already in the making. A manufacturer defect that should had been caught way early. Not a few years later.. By unfortunately our front row, center and personal ricocheting screws type of viewing. Isn't it crazy? How life can change in an instant?. Crazy, but true.

This isn't bad luck by any means. These are just life lessons in the making. Life lessons that make one far wiser. It's not what happens to you, but how you handle what happens to you. All in a mere instant.

All was well... At least we thought so as this afternoon we began the process of bringing the rest of our moving totes to YOLO's new location. A beautiful picturesque view of the country. The calm after the storm. Far too much rain. What was the beginning to the end of a great moving project. Out of our structurally unsafe home. Instantly turned into a great slide ricocheting screw show! Hahahaha! Yes, we actually did laugh about it, within only a mere few minutes! How or why may you ask? Because life happens. You can't change what happens, but you can change how you respond.

Attitude can make or break you. Especially in far more serious situations.

One push of the button on what should had been a completely fine, brand new electrical slide system. The loud sounds of a faulty slide pulley system sent screws flying out of the wall and across the living room. It happened so fast that we didn't know what the heck was going on?. That was until we noticed part of the slide wall laying across the living room floor. A mere 6-week old, brand new Heartland Mallard. $31,000 later... Now heading back to the Heartland Corporation. Status? Unknown. Tis seems there is a great lesson to be learned by Heartland Corporation in what happened to a major part of their mechanical system. A recall in the making.

I instantly went into problem-solving mode as Eric stood there completely dumbfounded. We were just taking photos of happier times, far happier moments. Now we were looking at what time to meet the company RV technicians who will have to find a way to manually place a faulty slide back into a safe towing position. As I quickly realized, while taking picture upon picture. 1 of all 3 faulty slides. A manufacturer defect. I didn't wait for the RV technician to get back to me. Instead, I took it upon myself to call Heartland Corporation. YOLO-You only live once, was a very appropriate name. Only a mere, one picturesque day on our new site in the country. Maybe there was a reason, why we were initially sold the wrong camper? A great lesson learned that had me quickly realizing...

I have changed for the better.

I didn't lose my cool, as many times prior, through out the course of my life. I actually handled myself in a surprising manner. Calm, cool and collective seeing this isn't a life. It's just a camper.

There are far worse things that could had transpired amidst taking front row and center of a major recall in the making. The pulley system screws could had caused great harm to anyone in the way. We were lucky to had been on the other side of the slide when the system ricocheted out of the wall. Same for the other 2 slides that we, as well the RV technicians found just as faulty. Ready to pull out of the wall. A disaster in the making, but not to worry. Life happens. Yes, indeed life can change in an instant, but it's how you handle what happens. That's what truly makes the difference!

Poor YOLO, she is heading across state, back to the manufacturer with no approximate date on if or when we might see here again, but even for RV's... Life happens.

It takes a lifetime of experiences to change a person. Today... I celebrate the new person that I have become. By personal experiences and all of life's great lessons.

When at the end of the day. You can sit back and laugh at what had transpired in an instant. Even with the seriousness involved in such a freak situation. In that moment. I have come to realize how much I have grown. Through my experiences. I have changed for the better. Life is far too short to sweat the big, as well the small stuff. It's not the end of the world. It's just a lesson learned to pass onto others. No one is a victim here, not by any means. If anything... It's YOLO. Not me.

For current owners of any type of RV. For those who are currently looking to purchase your very first RV, whether that be a camper, trailer, fifth wheel or motorhome. Please make sure to check your slides on a monthly basis. Report any potential concerns or issues to the manufacturer.

Tis always better to be safe! Another great lesson Learned!

Once Again... And The Thunder Rolls...
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: Day 2677-Next GP Chapter... Turning Lemons Into Lemonade :)

It's been nothing but, rain, rain and more rain for us folks here in the country. So much for having our moving sale this coming weekend. It was a great idea, but once again, the weather is in control right now of our plans and destination.

We have been scrambling like crazy over the past few weeks. Getting last minute odds and ends together in hopes of finally moving out of our house by early next week. What one can not predict... Is the unseasonably warm, then cold, then warm, then cold weather. If it wasn't for having such an unsafe, unstable foundation. We would had still had the moving sale over this upcoming weekend. For liability reasons, moving sale customers must come through the downstairs garage and into the basement. With so many flash floods that our home has endured, in such a short amount of time, we must now wait once again until next weekend. If anything, at least we have officially been able to catch a little bit of a break. R&R for our little family!

It would be oh-so-super-nice to head off for a wonderful, relaxing spring vacation. What a super cute couple of friends who enjoyed a very nice, most definitely earned Hawaiian vacation. Such a great photo of two happily smiling faces! Even my dear friend in the country, just a mere distance away, turned a rainy day into a very productive one! I can't wait to see the final product of one super creative and quite country-chic living room, divider wall!

See... You can still turn a rainy day into something happy in your very own way~

As for us? We are continuing to educate ourselves on how to live a much more simpler kind of way. Less is more in our own special and quite unique way! I sure won't miss the constant cleaning nor wondering which part of the house is now settling. We won't miss the quite costly added expenses either! I would much rather spend life being happy, in a far smaller space. Than to worry about the constant unknowns in a place that is anything, but safe. Our very first steps of a life changed forever, happened late last year. One giant leap of faith from one state to another. The first step is the hardest, but I promise you... Things can only get better from here!

Thanks to those who inspire us to live a life on much simpler terms. Tis never judge a book by it's cover, because...

Less IS indeed  MORE
