Now Playing: Day 753-The Final Road To Survival
Its continuing to be a great month of May! I feel more positive changes soon ahead! Maybe its the lucky shoes?
I think everyone can relate to something in their wardrobe that has brought them luck. My shoes are the luckiest thing I own seeing they have walked a million miles and have been witness to some of the most changing events in my life. Today was no exception. Without getting into detail I will only say I made it one step closer this afternoon to being awarded the next new chapter of my life. Money doesn't buy you everything and clearly it sure doesn't buy you happiness either. I have had some of my best times in life being broke and some of my worst times in life being financially secure. Amen.
My dear friend John also had some GREAT news to share with me today! He not only got a letter back this past weekend from a government job he applied for two weeks ago but today was told he got the position. WOOHOA! John will now be living his dream in Napa, California and also starting a new chapter in his life. Add his beloved fur kid to sharing a new life out west too! He will be looking for a new home in the next few weeks then officially moving by the end of June. I am so, so, so happy for him! If anyone deserved some true happiness and positive changes in their life it is my dear friend John! That now makes it official as one of us starts heading out west this year so I better start looking a bit more seriously into Nevada because life waits for no one!
We are still in the process of drying out from the monsoon rain and storms from the other day. The garage remains musky and damp along with a few puddles of water but lots of mud. UGGGG! We have to wait until it completely airs out first before the next step of the big clean up begins. Hopefully that will be by this weekend. Luckily the rain they did predict for today didn't happen. We are both hoping the same holds true for the next several days! The basement is almost dry but our main concern is mold that might be in between the walls so looks like there is still quite a bit of repairs to look forward to this month. My neighbors got a truck load of dirt delivered early this morning. They are hoping it will help until the basement foundation repairs are finished. I think everyone on our street is just praying for drier days ahead!
Health wise things remain the same. My kidneys are still filtering blood and red cells but only as expected. Everything else as a result from my Idiopathic Gastroparesis progressing remains the same. Not any better but not any worse. I have yet to get over this last Drano treatment so once again this evening it was back to trying the rest of the new injectable medication. My spine will always remain a problem when it comes to sitting and standing but with the travel season almost here I sure do wish I could take a longgggg vacation. Since I do better by keeping myself mobile and moving around maybe I could just walk to my next vacation destination. Hahahahaha!
One can still dream can't she?...
