Don't Set The Bar Too High`
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: Day 3101-FREE YOURSELF... MY JOURNEY
Can you believe that summer will soon be over in a few months?
Neither can I... And it can't end soon enough with high temperatures going into the 100's by this coming weekend.
I am so looking forward to much cooler fall temperatures and the ability to be outdoors walking along the river trails. At least we had a bit of a break for a few days over this past weekend. I will take whatever Mother Nature dishes out as far as a much needed break. Finally this gives me time on getting back to work again... Trying my best to succeed, but having really no expectations what-so-ever. If things work out... GREAT! If not... Then it just wasn't meant to be and the next time I need to just try that much harder.
It's going to be tough for awhile... but I wouldn't expect it any other way.
We had a great counseling session today. It really does help us in providing much needed closure with the past as we look forward with what the future holds. They say you have to make peace with the past in order to move forward with the future while living in the here and now... Present.
Ain't that the TRUTH!
The new home for my blog is still a bit under works for a few more days. I was hopeful to have everything up and running today, but of course my expectation bar was a bit too high.
Will keep everyone posted and in the meantime...
Don't forget to turn that frown upside down! Life is far too short not to find so many reasons to share those pearly whites and a BIG OL' SMILE!

I Still Believe In Myself... And The Little Word Called...
Mood:  chillin'
Now Playing: Day 3100-FREE YOURSELF... MY JOURNEY

If I had a dollar... For every single time a new specialist, surgeon or oncologist tells me that my attitude is in the right place based on what I continue battling...

I'd be a millionaire by now.

If I had a dollar... For every single time a new specialist, surgeon or oncologist gives me the same concerned look while reviewing my current medical records...

I'd be a millionaire by now.

But instead of being a millionaire... I have the next best thing in my hands... A long awaited letter from Social Security of release to do my best re-entering the workforce from home.

To me... That isn't just the next best thing folks... NO WAY!

To me... That IS the BEST THING that a gal could had ever asked for as I finally opened my laptop this afternoon while sitting here on my couchbed with a full side table of comfort items and my fur angels by my side.

Life? Life is still good.

Nah... Life is GREAT!

Life is really compiled of a lot of really great and some even... WONDERFUL little moments! Life is compiled of many lessons learned. Some good... Some bad. But the bad moments are really what matters the most because those bad moments allow you to learn and to grow.

While the OG-Original Blog, "The Road Before & After Surgery" is still in the process of some serious repairs after the biggest crash yet... I ponder if really there is any rhyme or reason to continue writing on a slate that is complied of nothing but the past. Where I am now in my life... Is the present. The present is really compiled of so many wonderful moments... Even the bad moments like this morning when realizing more major damage done from far-too-many oncology treatments. I look at all that damage as so much more than anything remotely close to negative. What the damage symbolizes to me are nothing but battle wounds from a hell of a lot of courage. To my new team of oncologists... It is sheer strength beyond the unknown.

I am still here living, learning and realizing so many dreams of mine... Even while enduring chemotherapy treatments. I am still living life and doing so with a smile and yet still finding reasons to share a few chuckles or two with all of the smiling faces that surround me here at home and with my oncology team of some really incredible folks! Those who believe in me... Because at the end of the day... I still believe in myself and the little word called... Hope.

Gotta LOVE This Weekend! :)
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Day 3099-FREE YOURSELF... MY JOURNEY

What a most B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L weekend!

Weather... Picture perfect with much cooler temperatures and a very light breeze... Far too nice to be stuck indoors.

Time for some boatin, fishin, LOVIN every day!

Isn't that some kind of song or something? Hehehehe!

It's been almost two years as we continue coming a very long way from our very first day we moved into our little lazy river town community. Since then we have been fortunate to have met some very nice folks around our wooded hillside neighborhood. What a beautiful weekend to get out and enjoy a little relaxation with our neighbors and even casting the ol' fishing poles out for a bit while enjoying some time with friends here in the country.

This weekend was all about getting out to bask in this fall-like weather.... Taking a much needed break from life indoors and far too many medical worries. Life is just far too short not to at least take some much needed time out for yourself for a change. There are so many great opportunities and a few dreams that will soon be mine for the taking over the next several months.

I can't wait!!

Out of the dark... There is always a light just waiting for you to follow to a far happier road ahead... All yours for the taking.

Life? It most certainly does get better once you allow yourself to be free and remember to smile... sharing laughter with others. There is always a reason to be happy!

Sharing my journey in hopes of teaching others how to use the gift of laughter when facing pain & adversity~

Life Is A Gift... How You Use Your Gift Is Up To You! :)
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: Day 3098-FREE YOURSELF... MY JOURNEY
 Welcome to my life!
A journey that includes the most important part of life... Learning the gift of laughter.
Inspiring others to learn how to use the gift of laughter during your hardest trials and tribulations.
We all have a gift of laughter... How you use your gift is up to you!
"The Road Before & After Surgery" blog is still under repair after experiencing a major crash earlier this week. We are anticipating it to be back up and running within the next week or possibly even a bit longer. But no worries... I had always anticipated for the next leg of my journey to begin on a fresh~clean~slate!
This blog will also be a bit different from the prior blog as this blog will soon be going under paid monthly membership. Yes, I have finally received my long-awaited approval from Social Security to start working after a very long leave of absence. Far too long for my liking. I received my letter earlier this week and can't be more SUPER EXCITED to finally re-enter the work force from home!
So sit back, grab your cup of Joe, glass of wine or any other favorite summer beverage...

Sharing my journey in hopes of teaching others how to use the gift of laughter when facing pain & adversity~
